Bug Description
Binary package hint: cyrus-imapd-2.2
The database conversion howto as described in /usr/share/
1. "cvt_cyrusdb" won't accept "db3" as database type as mentioned in 2.1 ("Converting from DB* to SKIPLIST")
2. When trying "berkeley" or "berkeley-nosync" instead, conversion fails with the following error:
cyrus@mail:/$ /usr/sbin/
Converting from /var/lib/
fatal error: can't open old database
Ubuntu version is 10.04 on amd64, cyrus-imapd-2.2 version is 2.2.13-19.

You need to run Berkeley DB upgrade procedure and not cyrus one:
