Bug Description

Binary package hint: cyrus-imapd-2.2

cyrus-admin-2.2.12-4ubuntu1 on 6.06.2 LTS

Procedure to reproduce the error :-

After adding over 90 mailboxes,

1. authenticate with kerberos,
>kinit <email address hidden>
2. login to cyradm with GSSAPI / Kerberos
>cyradm--user chkuk imapsv01.grt.citizen.co.jp imap
3. Get a shorter list of mailboxes, e.g. with prefix c
>lm user/c*
4. Try to get a full list of mailboxes
>lm

Correct result :-

It should return a full list of mailboxes in the system

Actual result :-

cyradm retruned a empty list. Check the /var/log/auth.log and it logged the following error :-

Oct 29 08:36:13 imapsv01 perl: encoded packet size too big (4156 > 4096)

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
