Can't print with cupsys1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06

Binary package hint: cupsys

I can't print with cupsys1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06.

My Printer is a Laserjet 6p shared on a Debian Sarge Linux.
The Debian Server takes the print job but abort it, with a client-error.
Cupsys on Debian Sarge is: Version: 1.1.23-10sarge1
When i downgrade my UbuntuBox to cupsys1.2.0-0ubuntu5 it works quite well.
That happens on 3 Machines.

cups/error_log on debian-print-server:

This could be a dupe of bug 55828. Please be patient while we provide new packages.

To determine if this is a duplicate of bug #55828 we need some extra information.
Please provide the output of the printingbug info script run on your Ubuntu print client with CUPS 1.2.2 installed. The printingbug info script can be found here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrintingBugInfoScript.
It would be nice if you could give a complete CUPS error_log. Therefore edit /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and change LogLevel to debug. Then restart CUPS: "sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart" and print something.
Does the Ubuntu testpage print?

Error log on your server shows:

This "Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden" should be "File or directory not found"? Could you check if there is such file on server (/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip)?

Yes that means "File od directory not found", and there is unfortunately no "foomatic-rip".

OK. First, downgrade cups on dapper to older version (which works), send
a test page or something and add error_log (with debug enabled) of your
debian server here.

Then you can update cups on dapper to newer version and install
foomatic-bin package on Debian server. Printing with never version of
cups (on dapper) should work then.

This is still a valid bug; we have a regression between Ubuntu packages.

The error_log from a working ubuntu cupsys.

The foomatic-bin tip dosn't work.
The printer jump in, but i get a strange output:

-12345X@PJL SET PAGEPROTECT=Auto
@PJL SET MANUALFEED=OFF
@PJL SET ECONOMODE=OFF
....

I have attached the error_log from the debian sarge system with foomatic-bin and the latest ubuntu cupsys.

OK, this strange output is due bug 55828. You could try now with packages from:

http://www.grad.hr/~ivoks/ubuntu/cups/

This latest error_log is from ubuntu or debian? I need it from debian :)

OK, I think I see where the problem could be with this bug.

With older CUPS, CONTENT_TYPE is "application/vnd.cups-raw", and with newer it's "application/vnd.cups-postscript".

CUPS 1.2.2 is doing coversion on client side, which it shouldn't.

Does it work without foomatic-bin package on server? If yes, then this is just a duplicate of bug 55828. If not, then this is a duplicate of bug 55828 + one more bug :)
