I'm experimenting the same problem: I'm printing to a Hp DeskJet 1120C over IPP to a remote cupsys print serve, once I installed 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06 all print jobs come out just as PCL code, e.g. this is the result of printing the test page:

The print server I'm printing to is running, as the client (a laptop) experimenting the problem, Ubuntu Linux 6.06; both run CUPS version 1.2.2. Printing directly from the server works fine, as printing from a Windows client. Printing from other ubuntu clients (CUPS 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.
