Bug Description

Binary package hint: cupsys

Tried to downgrade Cupsys to 1.2.8 from 1.3 in ubuntu 8.04 but got this error at the end of configuration.

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg retured an error code (1)
ln: accessing '/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/dnsssd' : no such file or directory

The problem seems to come an unexisting script file, see the end of the given dpkg log:
Setting up cupsys (1.2.8-0ubuntu8) ...
ln: accessing `/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/dnssd': No such file or directory.

On Ubuntu 8.04 I have the script dnssd.
How did you make the downgrade?
Did you try to reinstall cupsys (1.2.8)?

Hardy has reached end of life, and this package is not present in later releases. Closing all related bugs.
