Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Looks similar to #225184.
The update to 8.04 worked well, all the new packages were installed and configured,
but the update manager crashed near the end, just before the cleaning step.
I will now look to clean up through the Synaptic package manager, or manually if needed.

Anyway, thanks for the great job.

The upgrade was well executed.
I noticed indeed a lot of warnings related to the locales, but with no negative results.
Cupsys was left in an "unstable" state according to the package manager, but it turns out that it was able to restore itself; printing works.
The only point is that the upgrade manager suddenly left, without a closing message (as I expected), but besides that, everything is now working fine.
So, this is probably not a bug, and if it is, it is not a serious one.
Thanks for looking at it, and for all the work that went into this Ubuntu release.

Hardy has reached end of life, and this package is not present in later releases. Closing all related bugs.
