If the temporary fix does not work for you, please try running "sudo apt-get install -f" before forcefully installing the .deb.
If you are not using i386, you need to "dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/cupsys_1.3.2-1ubuntu4_$ARCH.deb" - replacing "$ARCH" with e.g. "amd64". Tab-completion may help here.
