I often have the installer stop during the setup phase. The message says that either a file failed to download or ... etc. I quite Adept and load Konsole and run 'desktop:~$ sudo dpkg --configure -a'. I often have to force Adept updater to quit to do this, otherwise the database is occupied. Sometimes when I finish with the dpkg run in the terminal and return to Adept, there are additional downloads, that don't seem to download, but are already here, and still need to be installed. Other times, there are new downloads, I guess that may just be timing as y'all put stuff up.

Oh, I also have gotten a number of Adept start-up failures, and the error system comes up, but there are 'There was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages. ' error messages, and no report.

In this instance, I had to quit Adept Updater and then ran I ran dpkg which returned:
Setting up libcupsys2 (1.3.2-1ubuntu4) ...

Setting up libcupsimage2 (1.3.2-1ubuntu4) ...

Setting up cupsys-common (1.3.2-1ubuntu4) ...
Processing triggers for libc6 ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place

I then returned to Adept, and there were 10 more packages to upgrade, all of which were already here. Then after 13% of completion on the step 'Preparing the update of Cupsys...

Please let me know if there is more you need to know.

Hi,

I captured the dpkg run from Adept where it crashed. I had re-opened Adept, then after Full Update I went to Preview Changes and defered Cupsys. The run went as normal. I was then down to just 1 update, Cupsys. Here is the dpkg run from the error:

Preconfiguring packages ...

Good Luck,
