Can you follow the instructions in the sections "CUPS error_log" and "Capturing print job data" of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems? Can you also scan or photograph the bad printouts? Thanks.

i have found a "manual" solution
remove the automatic installation and reinstall it by specifiing the model

the automatic procedure will use the driver for the hp laserjet 6P/6MP (postscript)
with the manual installation i used the driver laserjet 6P (hpcups 3.12.2[en]) and this one works very good!

one more note:
CUPS when i plugin the printer understand that is 6P, so i don't understand why it will use in the automatic installation the driver 6p/6MP..

affects: cups (Ubuntu) → system-config-printer (Ubuntu)
