Bug Description
Binary package hint: cups
I have not been able to get my Brother hl2270dw printer to work with ubuntu 11.04 on my dual boot HP dm3-2010us laptop. After several weeks of frustration and search for info on Brother's site I found they had a tool to install their drivers! So I downloaded the tool and tried to use it. After issuing the invoking it I got an red msg that said "CUPS NOT INSTALLED" However, the software center listed CUPS as installed. So I decided to remove it and then reinstall, and then the removal failed!
