Bug Description

Binary package hint: cups

I went to print a new documents (after successfully printing several other documents) and the only target printer listed in the print options in Evince was "Print to file". Upon looking at the list of printers in "Printing" (System>Administration>Printing) there were no target printers listed.

The workaround was to restart the CUPS server via the daemon.

Eric, probably CUPS did not start on boot. this is fixed by an update for Lucid. Please do a full update and reboot to see whether CUPS starts correctly then. If not, uninstall plymouth. See bug 554172.
