Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

After Canon printer driver upgrades in regular Ubuntu upgrade, I can no longer use network printer. Jobs require authentication password, but no such password has been created. I have not managed to work around the problem. Means I can no longer print from network computer.

Printer is attached to Mac with OS X, network notebook runs on Ubuntu.

Printer is a Canon mp 750 model.

Best regards,

Lido

Do any apps in Ubuntu work with the printer? If not then this should probably be reassigned to the cups printer system.

Thanks,

Chris

Thank you for responding. I have tried do print a PDf document, a RTF
file and an Open Office document, to no avail.

I have made changes in the printer window. Authentication is no longer
required for PDF and Open Office files.

Error message with Open Office office document: printig error.

Error message with PDF file: lpr: printer CANON MR 7050 does not accept
jobs.

Athentication required for printing test page.

What is there to do?

Best regards,
Ingeborg Cleve
