Bug Description

Good morning,
I installed in CUP http://localhost:631 my new printer Epson Stylus Photo PX700W.

I downloaded from http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/spc/DL2.do the file Epson-Stylus_Photo_PX710W-pipslite-en.ppd and installed by cups web page.

It's impossibile print by ubuntu 9.10

When I print from a gedit, for example, I can see job on printer queue but after one minute go out stopped.

I created a trouble shoot printing file but I can't find and resolve the errors.

I submit this file generated for the problem.

Seeming that don't find a pipslite-wrapper and others files or process I don't know.

It's very STRANGE seems that I fond a solution to print in wireless mode

CUPS+glueprint

If I set ip address and 9100 port seems that happened something.

If I open by firefox address:9100 print page of firefox

Now I changed on configuration by System -> Administration -> Printing the address and port setted as 9100

After I sent a test page and on lcd printer show print (five minutes ago). I can show this message on lcd printer now.

Some helps please.

I've got a similar model -710W. As you I cannot use the default ppslite URI - but can wireless print using socket:\\<ip address>:9100

to get my scanner to work wireless I used the following:

gksudo gedit /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf

then appended at the end
net <printer ip address>

hope this helps.
