[karmic] printing from browsers fails after yesterday's upgrades

Bug Description

prior to yesterday's upgrades, Karmic was able to print from any browser on the system, Aurora, Firefox, and Opera. Now it simply sends a blank page to the printer. The same thing happens when printing from OpenOffice.

I installed today's 44 updates thinking it would be either backed out or fixed. No dice.
