Bug Description
The following bug was reported and fixed in cups 2.2.11.
https:/
Without the fix, it is not possible to add or use a number of Canon printers.
Currently, 19.04 ships with 2.2.10 + some backports, but those backports do not include the fix for this problem. We either need the fix backported or an update to 2.2.11.
Release: Ubuntu 19.04
Version: 2.2.10-4ubuntu2
What you expected: Adding a canon printer works
What happened instead: Adding a canon printer fails with a useless error and log investigation lead to upstream issue.
