Can you please activate the CUPS debug mode following the instructions of the section "CUPS error_log" on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems and leave it activated. As soon as the problem occurs again, please attach your error_log to this bug report.

Upstream cannot reproduce, OP does not have the hardware any more, closing ...
