Bug Description

With this error, I can only find references for 32bit executables on 64bit system. This is not the case: the binary is 64bit, the interpreter and every library seems in place.

As Debian has dropped LSB support (https://lwn.net/Articles/658809/) and so removed the appropriate parts from the lsb source package I have overtaken these parts into the new cups-filters-lsb binary package to continue support for auto-downloadable printer drivers. Moving to cups-filters as source package of cups-filters-lsb.

Is there any workaround? Is it possible that the new LTS will break printing with epson printers in 10 days?

Adam, how far did you get with the decision about how to re-introduce LSB package support?

After installing a clean Ubuntu 16.04 and trying to install the deb package and then apt -f install to get the missing dependencies, I cannot install the printer driver or connect to my printer anymore. This does still work in Ubuntu 15.10 though.

The workaround doesn't work for me. I can get the driver to install because it says the dependency is lsb, then I need lsb-core and lsb-printer and about 5 more. So I downloaded the 15.10 deb packages but they depend on other installs, about 10 so until lsb in back in Ubuntu 16.04 I can't use my printer. Hopefully it will be fixed by 16.04.1 and then I will switch over from 15.10. I'll open a separate bug for it.
