Bug Description
Binary package hint: cryptsetup
My computer has /dev/sda5 (mounted as /) and /dev/sda7 (encrypted, mounted as /media/X).
My /etc/crypttab file contains this :
X /dev/sda7 none luks
My /etc/fstab file contains this :
/dev/mapper/X /media/X ext4 defaults,relatime 0 0
The problem in Karmic is that the password is asked in the console (since we don't use usplash anymore), but xsplash suddenly hide the cryptsetup prompt, and the computer continues to boot while cryptsetup still waits for the password in background, but will never get it as the user can't access console anymore due to Xserver.
