Subject: courier-imap: incredibly slow to select an Inbox
Package: courier-imap
Version: 3.0.3-3
Severity: grave
Tags: sid
Justification: renders package unusable
Hi,
I'm running both courier-imap and courier-pop3 on my server, but whenever I log in (exhibited via telnet) to the IMAP server,
it takes a really long time to return information about the Inbox. The login is instantaneous, but executing:
. SELECT "Inbox"
will cause it to sit there for about 1min 30seconds before anytime comes up, the time varies though. The POP3 doesn't exhibit
the same or similar behaviour.
I can't use the IMAP server in anything except telnet because of the timeout lengths.
Any ideas will be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris.
