Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktopcouch

Trying to use the package manager to upgrade from 8.04 LTS to 10.04 LTS. This is one of many failures reported during the process.

This is apparently a consequence of:

Setting up couchdb-bin (0.10.0-1ubuntu2) ...
Your account has expired; please contact your system administrator
chfn: PAM authentication failed
adduser: `/usr/bin/chfn -f CouchDB Administrator couchdb' returned error code 1. Exiting.
dpkg: error processing couchdb-bin (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
