Bug Description

When I send a signal USR1 to a dd process, it prints the number of in records, the number of out records and then it gives a segmentation fault and it quits.

To send the signal, I get the process id with a 'ps ax | grep dd' on another shell and then I use the command 'kill -USR1 pid'.
