coreutils: base64 utility missing

Bug Description

Binary package hint: coreutils

Coreutils (5.97) in current distributions does not contain the base64 utility, which is quite useful for a number of tasks (one is running the "kvmadm" package). Version 5.97 is based on an upstream of over one year old. Base64 has been included in coreutils since at least version 6.3 which came out in September 2006. Maybe it's time to grab a newer source from upstream...? :-^
