Bug Description
Binary package hint: coreutils
cat (GNU coreutils) 5.93 as provided by Ubunut 6.06LTS has this bug:
OK: cat /proc/self/cmdline
JUST PROMPTS: cat -v /proc/self/cmdline
JUST PROMPTS: cat -e /proc/self/cmdline
JUST PROMPTS: cat -t /proc/self/cmdline
Bug is triggered by use of ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [-26]) systemcall returning
negativ byte count in combination with (some) kernel versions.
Bug was fixed in coreutils version >= 5.97-1
