Bug Description

the man page for split(1), included in the coreutils package, has a section that seems to have been mangled, possibly in translation from info. This section begins with "CHUNKS may be: N" and extends to the following "AUTHORS" section. What should be a list is all strung out on one line and difficult to decipher.
