updates cause caps lock to revert until a reboot

Binary package hint: console-setup

I have caps lock set to be control through the keyboard settings applet.

When keyboard-configuration get updated, caps-lock goes back to being caps-lock. I have to log out and log back in in order for it to reset.

I can reproduce this by doing

    dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/keyboard-configuration_1.57ubuntu

Each time caps-lock gets reset to being cap-slock.

When installing the package via dpkg at least, one is told that "Your console font configuration will be updated the next time your system boots. If you want to update it now, run 'setupcon' from a virtual console." Either rebooting or running setupcon will return Caps Lock back to its original function.
