Please edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/console-setup.postinst as root, change 'set -e' on the third line to 'set -ex', save and exit, and then run:

  sudo dpkg --configure console-setup 2>console-setup.shx

Then attach the console-setup.shx file to this bug. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Now, please repeat with this:

  sudo sh -x /bin/setupcon --force -k 2>setupcon.shx

... and attach setupcon.shx to this bug.

Thanks. It looks like this is another crazy consequence of bug 698263. keyboard-configuration 1.57ubuntu5 (which should be available in a few hours) should restore normality.

Was this fix included in the beta? When upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04 (from a system with a few extra packages installed but otherwise pretty virgin/unused) I get a similar error (not entirely sure with what package it started though, all scrolled by so fast)
