It's the same in kubuntu 6.10 alternate too. Among all the options for the croatian keyboard layout, all of them produce the same problem - after selecting any of them, it's not possible to input anything except numbers. But if I go back and select US layout then everything is fine, as long as the US layout is selected throughout the installation.

The same happens in Xubuntu 6.10, observed on two very different machines. Two more facts to add:

- Tried Slovenian layout because of the interchangeability, and it doesn't work either.

- After installing with en_US layout, it is impossible to make the keyboard work properly for Croatian or Slovenian in console. After setting up, the resulting layout is a strange mix of English and Croatian layout (Croatian punctuation/symbols layout, English letter layout - QWERTY instead of QWERTZ, no Croatian graphemes).

I can confirm the same behaviour with slovenian keyboard. I tried to install a server on vmware machine, AND in ordinary phisical machine - it is the same. I have USB keyboard. I can write numbers or delete the default "ubuntu", but cannot write anything.

This seems to be a serious bug, because I can not name Logical Volume Groups and Logical Volume Names when setting up LVM,

I've also seen this bug in Gutsy server Tribe 3.
Bug #112707 and bug #69469 are probably duplicates of this one.
