Bug Description

I tried to install console-log on a rather fresh installation of Xubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet on a Lenovo T410 laptop computer. (With Trusty and previous, console-log had been working fine.) Maybe console-log is just not compatible with systemd now? Synaptic exits with (I'm sorry this is not the first try, so maybe it's not quite the same as what happens on a fresh installation):

E: console-log: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Errors were encountered while processing:
 console-log
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:
Setting up console-log (1.2-1) ...

Warning: The home dir /nonexistent you specified can't be accessed: No such file or directory
The system user `Debian-console-log' already exists. Exiting.
The user `Debian-console-log' is already a member of `adm'.
Job for console-log.service failed. See "systemctl status console-log.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
invoke-rc.d: initscript console-log, action "start" failed.
dpkg: error processing package console-log (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 console-log

Checking this gives:
