Bug Description
Binary package hint: connman
I have an acer 1830t with broadcom bcm 43225.
I am using the proprietary sta driver from broadcom.
Replacing network manager with connman and restarting connman and wifi is set to off and I can't activate it.
sudo iwlist scan show me the networks on eth1 but wifi is not activated.
ifconfig eth1 up doesn't work.
modprobe -r acer-wmi doesn't work unless I do iwlist scan.
Blacklisting acer-wmi doesn't work on startup unless I do a iwlist scan.
As soon as I run the iwlist scan, everything works and connman connects very fast.
It seems that after sleeping mode it can connect without the scan.
Note that network manager doesn't work out of the box either and needs to blacklist acer-wmi. Sometimes it looses connection (even if it looks connected)
Note that wicd seems to work out of the box but sometimes looses connection as well.

It seems that someone found a solution :
With wicd and Connman it was not working fine either
With former bcm driver or without driver as well.
So after having blacklisted acer-wmi as explained, go to applications on startup and untick bluetooth...
Then restart.
You don't have bluetooth anymore but wifi works well.
Someone said that reactivating bluetooth later on, wifi was still working.
Please test and give feedback.
thanks
