package calls update-notifier even when it's not installed

Bug Description

Binary package hint: connman

During installation the postinst script calls update-notifier and that is a problem on minimal installations, where the package is not installed. This means dpkg can't get the configuration done. So at best this should be optional or there should be a dependency on update-notifier.

For the first solution i included a debdiff.

BTW cool to see connman finally in a debian package :)

This bug was fixed in the package connman - 0.10+git20090203t223225-0ubuntu3

---------------
connman (0.10+git20090203t223225-0ubuntu3) jaunty; urgency=low

  * debian/connman.postinst: making update-notifier optional, as
    otherwise we would need a dependency on it (LP: #332217)
