Application crashes when rapidly selecting and deselecting a checkbox that enables features in the application.

Compiz allows users to enable and disable new features that affect the entire system. I discovered today that when I (accidentally) rapidly select and deselect the enable checkbox for a new feature that the entire system freezes for about five or ten seconds and then the application crashes and everything runs as normal.
