Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-gnome

In the feisty version of compiz i have the following issues:

Enabling desktop effects causes the cube to not work (workaroundend disabling the desktop selection applet, changing two values in the configuration of compiz through gconf2, and then, after enabling desktop effects adding again the desktop-selection applet)

If i open a new window this is blank (does not show icons inside), workarounded tweaking xorg.conf (i'll attach it)

Maximizing a window causes window decoration to disappear, resizing it to normal size make the decoration back.

Thanks a lot 4 the attention.

I forgot to tell that i'm testing on a laptop Asus L8400L and the video chip is an Ati Radeon M6 LY (AGP 4x 16MB dedicated RAM), old but compiz seems to go quite good with it...i'm using Open Source Ati drivers obviously

I am seeing the same thing on my Dell Inspiron 530 with compiz-fusion with GUTSY running NVIDIA 8600 Driver Version 100.14.19 obtained from restricted repository.

When I MAXIMIZE ANY window while using ANY emerald theme the (close, restore, minimize as well as button options on LEFT side AS WELL AS the title ... basically the entire
top window decoration DISAPPEARS )

you are then forced to 'mouse over' the area where you this the RESTORE button is to take the window OUT OF Maximized mode and the Window TOP decoration then
renders back into view.

I noticed this flaw in Feisty as well.
