Hi Alex,
I have tested with the last updates and this seems now fixed for me.......

It doesn't crash now, but the window outline stays there and only disappears when I'm moving between windows again.

How to reproduce it:

1. Open two terminals, run "exec sleep 10" in one.
2. Press Alt-` twice so the "exec sleep 10" terminal is selected.
3. Wait for 10 seconds until the terminal closes.

Expected results:

Once the terminal closes, only one remaining terminal window is shown in the switcher.

Actual results:

The orange outline of the closed terminal window is still there. If the other terminal was selected, blank space from the closed window is there.
