Bug Description

Show desktop command and shortcut don't work. When it is run the focus is shifted to desktop but active windows are not minimized. Active windows become unusable because the focus is on the desktop though the windows are in the foreground. Tested and reproduced the issue with awn show-desktop applet as well.

How do I say that the desktop gets focus? Because the global menu shows the menus that are shown in the desktop. File, Edit, View, Go, Bookmarks, Help.

I didn't experience this in Natty or Oneiric, but I am experiencing it in Precise--With the "Show Desktop" Plugin, but not the "Fade to Desktop" plugin, the windows seem to do their flying off-screen, but then pop back to their previous locations.

The issue can *usually* be avoided in the Show Desktop plugin by clicking the desktop before hitting the keystroke, but not always.

I'm not using unity at all either, for what it's worth.
