Bug Description

When using Thunderbird in Oneiric on an Intel graphics card in Unity 3D, I am seeing significant screen tearing. This happens when I click to the respond to an email and the reply window appears. The tearing looks like it does in the attached screenshot. I have smudged out email addresses.

Just talked to smsplillaz on IRC and he thinks it might be a Compiz issue, but is not sure. He will check into it.

Yeah, I've seen this in other applications as well. It seems to affect apport-gtk, empathy and gwibber fairly badly here, but you're the second person who reported the same issue in thunderbird too. I've also seen a similar issue to your screenshot, but also with the window frame drawn on the wrong part of the screen

Is this still an issue on an up-to-date version of 11.10? Does this also affect Firefox?
