Bug Description

Using a primary monitor on the right hand side of a secondary monitor causes maximized windows to be obscured by the launcher (screenshot 1). Dragging a window to the left border of the primary monitor does not correctly dock the window to the grid: the orange indicator area indicates a rather unexpected area of the screen (screenshot 2) and the window is not properly docked when the mouse is released (screenshot 3, the red arrow points at the "docked" window).

I am using nvidia-current and two screens with identical resolution.

Please retest. Using unity 5.2-0ubuntu3 in precise I'm not reproducing this bug. I had been reproducing the issue previously, and suspect the bug has been (perhaps indirectly) solved by recent changes.

This bug seems to be solved in unity 4.28.0 already.

The only related (minor) flaw I can detect is that if you try to dock a window on the right side of the left-hand monitor, and you move your mouse pointer a little bit onto the other monitor, the indicator shows it will be docked on the left monitor, but releasing the mouse button docks the window on the left side of the right-hand monitor. That's no biggie though, and I guess I should be filing a different bugreport for that.
