Bug Description
Upon upgrading to Natty (and I've observed this on a clean install), when I log in to the "Ubuntu Classic" desktop and enable Desktop Cube (which requires the OpenGL plugin) for compiz, I get a session with no window borders. If I run, from a console:
gtk-window-
the process seems to hang (strace also shows no activity after a second or two, ie no event processing or anything). Running:
emerald --replace
crashes.
Steps to reproduce:
1) upgrade to Natty (or install new)
2) install CompizConfig Settings Manager (ccsm)
3) run ccsm
4) select OpenGL plugin (or Desktop Cube which will require the OpenGL plugin)
5) resolve any keyboard or plugin conflicts (Desktop Cube conflicts with Desktop Wall, for example)
6) plugins are applied, window borders disappear (though the desktop cube effect is working)
7) logging in again produces a session with no window borders
8) running "gtk-window-
9) running "emerald --replace" from a console crashes
10) running "metacity --replace" from a console regains a useful windowed desktop
Note that when there were no window borders, I could find no gtk-window-

I can confirm this bug, it appeared after I installed CCSM and enabled Desktop Cube and Rotate Cube.
As above, "metacity --replace" does restore the window borders, but I would really like to see a solution soon.
