Ring switcher (and others) doesn't show window titles

Binary package hint: compiz

I like using the ring switcher to swap between windows, but under Unity, it's currently a lot less useful, because I'm not getting the window title of the currently selected window. I also don't get window titles using the standard <Alt>+<Tab> static application switcher. I think it's possibly related to this bug, but it's a broader problem:

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04, the beta release.
The installed version of compiz is 1:0.9.4+bzr20110407-0ubuntu2.
The installed version of unity is 3.8.4-0ubuntu1.
