Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

while running an up to date natty install (for the purpose of testing the nvidia driver for the Xorg QA Team), compiz crashes on start.

Running compiz --replace says :
compiz (core) - Error: Couldn't load plugin 'ccp'
compiz (core) - Error: Couldn't load plugin 'ccp'
(process:3126): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_source_unref: assertion `source != NULL' failed

I also noticed that compiz wasn't fully installable :
strider@astoria:~$ sudo apt-get install libcompizconfig0
...
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libcompizconfig0 : Depends: compiz-core-abiversion-20110224 but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

I suppose this packaging issue is likely to be fixed within the next hours but I need to add a bug number to a failed test in QA (and couldn't find a duplicate)

Hey Mathieu,

Have you made a partial upgrade to get this state? The packaging doesn't allow that case to happen normally.

Can you please:
apt-cache policy compiz-core
apt-cache policy libcompizconfig0

and the, apt-cache show on them as well please.

Changed in compiz (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

yes I must have done a partial upgrade, anyway today's updates resolved everything as I expected I'll mark it as fix released.
