Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

a lot of times happen were if i have a window on a secondary screen the window appears white but the borers appear alright.... also it seems sometimes when using print screen the window gets fixed but not all the time.....and some times compiz --replace fixes it but at times just makes it worse were you just cant see the window

screenshot.png shows what im talking about

seems to also make it were anything maximized while its happening gets the problem no matter the screen it's set to which for me causes a lot of problems when im useing one screen to hold info and another for using blender at full screen

my screen resolutions are set were the primary is 1280x800 and my secondary is set to 1920x1200

thanks for the bug report. Can you try different configurations like first disable the dock you are using at the bottom and see if the issue happens. also please try to reproduce the same problem in Classic Session just to check if the reported issue is in unity or compiz.

it really seems like compiz is the problem.....the only one i had it enabled in what the unity desktop and after enabling it in the other environments the same thing happen with or without the dock......i have tried it in unity, unity2D, the classic gnome, xfce, and kde....all of them showed the same results

i could add the snapshots but theres no point when they all show the same thing the first one did which the secondary screen getting a white overlay when somethings resized to a point which is usually random.

also i have all of the updates in natty

it is not a duplicate of that bug #75244, as it occurs on all the time on the windows and on single screens.

It seems like something is not being flushed out, because when you open non UI intensive application it is fine. But then open another non UI intensive application and the new window goes white.

Opening UI intensive applications like Firefox the Window is always white.

I only have one screen too.

using nvidia GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a
