Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

By default, the Desktop Wall plugin shows “live viewport previews” when switching workspaces using the keyboard. Imagine a 1920x1200 image squished into a tiny box that's about 130x80 pixels. Imagine that happening with an algorithm optimised for efficiency over prettiness.

I know this is subjective, but I rarely see a case where this looks satisfying. To the contrary, it looks like something that isn't working right, and (because hastily resized images tend to be) it is noisy. This should be disabled by default, in favour of the much simpler grey boxes with arrows. For detailed viewport previews, we have the full-screen Expo view.

Setting to wishlist as requested.
To be honest, I rather like the previews (and miss them on KDEs switcher). Obviously I can't read the contents of the windows, but I can see whether I'm switching to the workspace with my browser on or the one where I've got a pile of terminals; so I'd disagree with changing the current behaviour.
