So, sam, this is the bug I can reproduce reliably without the workaround on both my netbooks and sometimes on my laptop, depending on boot.
FYI, I reintroduced the wokaround for the week-end. Hope that + aquarius full backtrace (http:// paste.ubuntu. com/559475/ for the record) will help you in your debugging :)
