Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Using today's Natty ISO under virtualbox emulation. Similar issue to attempting to use the Maverick Netbook remix under Virtualbox.
- ie: gdm completes fine - selecting "Try ubuntu" at the gdm screen.
- GUI then stops after loading the wallpaper.
- No menu bar, mouse cursor present but not responsive to any mouse activity.
- able to switch to a text console
- dmesg reveals compiz segfaults as the most recent entry at this point.

I can reproduce this bug. The problem you're having and the dmesg segfault is the same as in bug #673830. I've set this as a duplicate to it.
