Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-gnome

After a recent update (and reboot) inactive window titlebar opacity got too low -- titlebars are barely visible.
Attempts to change the value of "/apps/gwd/metacity_theme_opacity" key via gconf-editor lead to nothing (the value was 1, by the way).
Running "/usr/bin/gtk-window-decorator --opacity 0.7 --replace" solves the problem, but yields error message:

~$ /usr/bin/gtk-window-decorator --opacity 0.7 --replace
GConf Error: Type mismatch: Expected `float' got `int' for key /apps/gwd/metacity_theme_opacity

It also seems unsetting the key in gconf-editor also fixes the problem, temporarily. The integer key gets replaced by a float (of 0.75) and the opacity returns. That is, until gtk-window-decorator is restarted, at which point it reverts to an int with a value of 1 and the window title bars disappear.

This was a glitch in the default value that was fixed in 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.
