Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

This happens using the Desktop wall. The Wobbly effect is not the reason, cause I've tried without, with the same result. In another words, ONE OF THE WINDOWS MOVES FASTER than the other one.

I've realized that when moving a single window and doing it fast, many times the cursor ends up in a different position to the window than where it was when I grabbed the window in the original Desktop. This might have something in common with this problem. However, with grouped windows this is far more notable. So I guess that solving the single-window problem might solve this one too. I think, compiz somehow misreads the X, Y coordinates.

Check the video...

Has the single-window problem been reported already?

This could be a bug in any loaded plugin. Try disabling all plugins with only a minimal set and see if it's still happening. If that fixes it, enable the plugins one by one to see which is the culprit. If disabling all plugins doesn't fix it, the bug is likely elsewhere. Note that ubuntu patches compiz a significant amount which means you cannot disable some plugins like window decoration.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
