Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
Tooltips on window list items in gnome panel are sometimes hanging around "permanently", that is, until the cursor is moved back onto the item.
Turning desktop effects to off stops the issue.
Turning desktop effects to Normal or Extra brings it back.
Distro, arch: Jaunty, AMD64
Compiz package version: 1:0.8.2-0ubuntu8
Non-Free nVidia driver is use: nvidia-glx-180
Hard to replicate reliably, but seems to happen often when clicking on window list item for a window that's on another desktop. After the desktop changes and the cursor is moved off the item, the tooltip remains.

steps to replicate:
1) configure window list to show windows from all workspaces
2) open some window on workspace 1
3) switch to a different workspace
4) click on window list entry for window on workspace 1 ensuring that you DON'T cause the tooltip to appear (ie don't hover long, just click!)
5) move away from the window list, watch the tooltip appear and remain persistent
It doesn't happen 100% of the time but I haven't been able to figure out what causes it exactly. As far as I can tell delaying step 5) slightly actually prevents it.
