Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I have the ring switcher enabled, the application switcher disabled, and any other switcher disabled.

If I hold down the Alt+Tab combination, and I leave it there, when the windows showing move almost towards the middle, gdm restarts.
I will see a black screen with a terminal cursor in the top left, and gdm restarts.
I have to log on again.
After I log on, Firefox and my other programs recognize they crashed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I cannot reproduce this problem with an Intel X3100 in karmic.

Hello Travis, with Ubuntu 9.10 the problem does not happen any more. So for
ATI X600 the problem is solved.

My best regards,
Bruno

Sorry for the slow response...

The problem seemed to fix itself at some point when I updated (compiz,
I think). I haven't had an internet connection the pass few months so
I have forgotten to report it.

Sorry!
Thanks,
Cheers,
Rob
