Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

After upgrading to 9.04 I am unable to use keyboard shortcuts which used to work in 8.10. Tried changing the shortcuts in Settings but it did not help. Other shortcuts (e.g. Alt+Tab, volume keys, workspace switching) work without a hitch.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
Package: gnome-panel 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu6

 PATH=(custom, no user)
 LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: gnome-panel
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64

I do run compiz. I don't know how to check if the GNOME compatibility option
is enabled

$ ps auxwww | grep compiz

you can run ccsm to configure compiz

Indeed enabling GNOME Compatibility in cssm fixed the issue. AFAIK there was
no "GNOME Compatibility" option in 8.10 and after upgrade it was not enabled
by default which is the root problem that caused the shortcuts to stop
working.
