Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Using Jaunty Alpha 3:
- Installed from alternate CD
- Using LVM + encryption
- USing home folders encryption
- Fresh install, then full upgrade/update as of Feb 4

Boots OK until brown screen with cursor shows, then nothing else happens. Moving the mouse reveals top panel icons are functional, but nothing is displayed.

Using CTRL ALT F1 I entered a console, logged in, restarted GDM. After ~45 seconds the desjtop showed up as expected. A crash report was waiting to be submitted (this bug report).
