Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Summary: Compiz does not fully render applications on a Dell Inspiron 6400 with Mobility Radeon X1300

Test: OEM Installation ISO test on ISO image http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20081218.2/jaunty-desktop-amd64.iso

At first I though applications were locking up as they were starting up since they were not fully rendered. However when I killed compiz and turned off compiz using System->Preferences->Appearance apps were being rendered fully and correctly.

To reproduce: Do OEM installation and after installation when one tries to use any application the problem is apparent.

Attached: dmesg, lspci and xorg.conf, and 3 screen snapshots
